RSN Gold
was a 'tape radio
station' which was established in 1967 to keep the sound of offshore
'pirate' radio alive following the British Government's Marine Offences
Act which came into force on August 14, 1967 forcing the offshore stations
off the air.
(LEFT) The station which inspired RSN Gold, formerly called Radio Scotland
(North), was Scotland's own offshore station Radio Scotland, broadcasting
on 242 metres from the converted lightship Comet. |
